Gravel To Report To Rimouski

Rimouski Oceanic General Manager Philippe Boucher announced on Tuesday that 17-year-old defenseman Maxime Gravel will report to Rimouski for the 2012-13 season. Gravel was considering playing in the NCAA next season.

Gravel this past season played in the Quebec Midget 'AAA' Hockey League helping College Esther-Blondin reach the Telus Cup.

Gravel was drafted by the Saint John Sea Dogs at the 2011 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Entry Draft in round three, No. 50 overall before being traded to Rimouski on December 29th 2011 along with Scott Oke and a third round pick in 2012 (Chicoutimi) for a first round pick in 2012 (Moncton) and a seventh round pick in 2012 (Bathurst).
