MasterCard Memorial Cup: Gabriel Girard To Start In Goal For Cataractes Against London

The Shawinigan Cataractes confirmed on Sunday morning that 20-year old goaltender Gabriel Girard will start in goal on Sunday night against the Ontario Hockey League champion London Knights.

Girard has not started a game since game one of the President's Cup quarter-final's on April 6th.

The native of Varennes, Quebec posted a record of 4-0-0-0 during the Cataractes short playoff run.

Shawinigan heads into Sunday nights game against London with a record of 0-1 while London is coming off a 5-3 victory over the defending Memorial Cup champion Saint John Sea Dogs on Saturday night. Game time is scheduled for 7pm (EST) at the Bionest Centre.
