Saint John Sea Dogs right winger Charlie Coyle was named the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's President's Cup Playoff MVP on Thursday night following the Saint John Sea Dogs 8-0 victory over the Rimouski Oceanic in game four of the President's Cup Final at the Rimouski Colisee in Rimouski, Quebec.

Coyle becomes the first American to win the Guy Lafleur Trophy since St. Louis, Missouri native Pat Lafontaine did so during the 1982-1983 season.

In 17 games with the President's Cup champion Sea Dogs, Coyle the native of Weymouth, Massachusetts recorded 34 points including 15 goals and 19 assists along with a +27 rating and eight penalty minutes.

Coyle and the Saint John Sea Dogs will hit the ice on Saturday, May 19th at the 2012 Mastercard Memorial Cup as they face the Ontario Hockey League champions at 7pm in Shawinigan, Quebec.
