According to  reports, Shawinigan Cataractes right winger Kirill Kabanov suffered a concussion following a hit by Saint John Sea Dogs center Jason Cameron during the third period of Saturday afternoon's game between Shawinigan and Saint John at the Bionest Centre in Shawinigan, Quebec.

The 18 year old was given a five-minute major and game misconduct for the hit on the New York Islander prospect.

In 35 games with Shawinigan this season, the 19 year old Russian has recorded 37 points (16 goals, 21 assists) along with a +21 rating and 30 penalty minutes.
