Team Alfredsson Drafts Five Former 'Q' Players At NHL All-Star Fantasy Draft
The National Hockey League held it's fantasy draft on Thursday night for the upcoming 2012 NHL All-Star game which will be played in Ottawa, Ontario. Captains Daniel Alfredsson and Zdeno Chara made their picks live on TSN.
In total six Quebec Major Junior Hockey League players were selected in the draft.
It was Team Alfredsson who drafted five former Quebec Major Junior Hockey League players. Alfredsson selected former Gatineau Olympique forward Claude Giroux in the 4th round, former Val-D'or Foreur defenceman Kris Letang in the 5th round, former Moncton Wildcat defenceman Keith Yandle in the 11th round and former Shawinigan Cataracte forward Jason Pominville in the 18th round. Alfredsson also selected former Drummondville Voltigeur forward Sean Couturier among his rookies.
Team Chara selected former St. John Fog Devil, Montreal Junior and Cape Breton Screaming Eagle forward Luke Adam among his rookie picks.
