Grigorenko & Frk Named Alternate Captains For Top Prospects Game

The Canadain Hockey League along with the Western Hockey League's Kelowna Rockets announced the captains and alternate captains for the 2012 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game to be played February 1 at Prospera Place in Kelowna, BC.

Kelowna's Colton Sissons will captain Team Orr while Everett's Ryan Murray will captain Team Cherry.

Two Quebec Major Junior Hockey League players were named alternate captains for the two day event. Quebec Remparts right winger Mikhail Grigorenko will wear the 'A' for Team Orr while Halifax Mooseheads right winger Martin Frk will be the alternate captain for Team Cherry.

Grigorenko is currently the top ranked player among Quebec Major Junior Hockey League skaters  for the upcoming 2012 NHL Entry Draft. In 38 games with Patrick Roy's Remparts, the Russian has recorded 60 points, 27 goals, 33 assists along with a +23 rating and six penalty minutes. The 6-2, 191-pounder played for Team Russia who obtained the silver medal at the 2012 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships in Alberta.

Frk is currently ranked 25th overall among North American Skaters on NHL Central Scouting's midterm rankings. The native of the Czech Republic who has missed most of the season due to a concussion has appeared in 14 games for the Mooseheads recording ten points (five goals, five assists) along with a -10 rating and 16 penalty minutes.

Team Cherry:
