Eagles Add Murphy, Walsh & Hartley For Upcoming Weekend
The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles announced on Wednesday that the club has added three players for their upcoming weekend games against the Saint John Sea Dogs and Halifax Mooseheads.
Left winger Cole Murphy will be added to the teams full-time roster on Friday when the club takes on the Saint John Sea Dogs at Centre 200. In 24 games with the Dartmouth Ice Dawgs of the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League, the native of Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia has 33 points (11 goals, 22 assists) along with 40 penalty minutes.
Murphy was called up for one game by the Screaming Eagles on November 24th.
The team also announced that defensemen John-Michael Walsh and Billy Hartley have been called up for the weekend games.
Walsh before the call up was playing with the Pictou County Weeks Crushers of the Maritime Junior Hockey League. In 22 games with Pictou County the native of Westmount, Nova Scotia has seven points (one goal, six assists). In four games with the Eagles this season the Cape Bretoner has posted a +1 rating and two penalty minutes.
Hartley who was a 2011 invite by the Screaming Eagles has been playing with the Yarmouth Junior 'A' Mariners of the Maritime Junior Hockey League. In 31 games with Yarmouth this season the Dartmouth, Nova Scotia native has eight points (three goals, five assists) along with 22 penalty minutes.
