Eagles Reassign Farrell To Tradesmen
On Tuesday, Cape Breton Screaming Eagles Head Coach & General Manager Mario Durocher announced that they have reassigned 16 year old forward Kyle Farrell to the Cape Breton Tradesmen of the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League. Farrell last season with the Tradesmen lead the league in points with 68 points with his former fellow teammate Colin Campbell who was drafted by the Saint John Sea Dogs last season and will be playing Junior 'A' in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. An agreement has been placed to the Cape Breton Tradesmen that will see Farrell practice with the Screaming Eagles hockey club, while he plays with the Tradesmen. “It was not an easy cut to make. He has played hard for us,” said Mario Durocher. “We want him to continue to develop in Midget AAA for now. We want him to get lots of ice time and play in all situations including power play, penalty kill, and 5 on 5.” added Durocher. Farrell was drafted by the Eagles in round 3 #39 overall at the 2010 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League draft in Drummonville, Quebec.
