The Halifax Mooseheads got some bad news on the Martin Frk side. The IIHF has rejected the transfer of the third overall draft pick at the 2010 Canadian Hockey League's import draft in June. Frk still has a one year left on his deal with  Karlovy Vary, his deal expires following the 2011-12 season. The IIHF stated that “contract was validly signed by the player’s parents and was not terminated according to the expiration of the contract, mutual agreement of the parties, or just cause,” and so they did not approve the transfer under IIHF International Transfer Regulation . According to Bobby Smith the Mooseheads majority owner Frks family wanted him to play in Halifax this season.
