Stats: In 47 total games this season, Balong has 14 goals (seven coming on the power play), 30 assists and 34 penalty minutes for the Trojans.   

Potential: The Weyburn, SK native made huge strides in his game this past season. In addition to becoming a better skater, Balog developed an accurate shot and became an even more diverse player (seeing ample time on special teams). One scout told me he questioned Balog’s effort from buzzer to buzzer. With that said, there is no reason Balog can not play meaningful hockey for years to come.
