Payam Sami

Team: Colorado Thunderbirds Midget Minor AAA

Position: Goaltender

Birthdate: 1994

Overall Player Rating: B+

Positioning: Above average

Agility: Average

Hockey sense: Above Average

Weakness: Gets beat on shots he should stop.

Intangibles: Net minder with the talent and work ethic to play at elite level.

Stats: In 23 games, Sami had a 12-5-6 record to go along with three shutouts, 1.72 GAA and a .924 save percentage.

Career potential: Sami moves very well from post to post and posses quick reflexes. While he’s not the most athletic goaltender at his level, the youngster can change the flow of a game with his “out of this world” saves. In the same token, Sami is known to let in a soft goal on what one scout told me “too often”. The bottom line here, Sami has the god given talent to be a big time goaltender at the next level and beyond.
