Report: Plane carrying 37 from KHL team crashes
Yahoo Sports is reporting that a plane containing the Lokomotiv hockey club of the KHL has crashed in Central Russia. The Yakovlev Yak aircraft, which holds a maximum of 42 passengers, went down in the city of Yaroslavl. As of 10:30 am. EST here in the United States, they has only been one confirmed survivor. The report says the entire roster, along with coaches (37 total) were aboard, which includes former Detroit Red Wings defenseman Brad McCrimmon (who is listed as Lokomotiv’s head coach) and Ruslan Salei as well goaltending prospect Stefan Liv.
