According to ESPN.com, the Tampa Bay Lightning feel if they are out of the playoff chase by Christmas time, they will take trade offers for all star Vincent Lecavalier.

Lecavalier, who was a huge part of the 2004 Lightning team that won the Stanley Cup, is in the first year of an 11 year contract. The contract is worth $85 million and entails a no-trade clause.

The report goes on to say the Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens could be possible trading partners with Tampa for Lecavalier should he become available.

Lecavalier has two goals and nine assists in 13 games for Tampa, who will play the Canadiens in Montreal Saturday night.
